Lashes + Brows
Lash Extensions
Brow Lamination
Lash Lift and Tint
Taking care of your lashes and brows is important to keep them looking their best for as long as possible. Lash and brow treatments can last up to 4-6 weeks if cared for properly - though by this time, most extensions will have fallen out due to your natural lash cycle.
Tips from our salon and from the lash and brow products brands we work with.
-
Do not wet your lashes or brows in the next 24 - 48 hours from the time of your lash extensions
-
Keep your lashes and brows dry and clean at all times, remove makeup before you sleep
-
Be gentle with your lashes and brows, always
-
Sleep on your back as best as you can or be mindful when you move to protect lashes and brows
-
Oil-based products are the enemy, so avoid them. Oil breaks down adhesive bonds and your lashes won’t last as long as they should. Find oil-free products such as cleansers and mascaras and eyeliners – we have some available in our retail section.
-
Avoid cotton wool. The fluff will get caught up in your lashes and brows and can be very irritating so don't use cotton wool buds etc
-
Don’t panic if a few lashes fall in the first 24 hours after your treatment, this is completely normal while the adhesive is drying.
-
We recommend you return for a lash infill appointment every 2-3 weeks.
-
When you come for infills try to make sure your lashes are clean and free from makeup,
if our technician has to spend part of your appointment time cleaning the lashes up then there is less time for you to get the fullest possible infill. -
If you want to remove your extensions at any time, come back and see us. Removal is easy and takes no time at all. Picking your lashes off without professional remover will cause natural lash damage and it can then take time for your lashes to recover fully.
The good news is that a lash lift requires very little aftercare.
-
Just remember to avoid too much mascara and steam baths/saunas/moisture
for the first 24 to 48 hours. -
Other than that you can treat your lashes as normal. We recommend using a growth and conditioning serum as your lash lift grows out.
How soon can you do this treatment again? -
If you want to keep your lash lift look then it isn’t a one size fits all for this.
Everyone’s lashes are different and grow at different speeds.
We do however recommend leaving 6-8 weeks between treatments as a minimum.
Facials
General Advice For Skin Health
Dermalogica Pro and Alam Farma Facials are suitable for all skin types and a wide range of skin conditions. Our facial treatments include cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, massage, mask application, toning, and moisturizing. So in order for you to maintain the best results of the processes, you have to take extra care post-facial care. The facial process often entail a degree of downtime, during which our skin may become more sensitive and in need of extra care.
Tips from our spa and from skin care brands we work with.

-
Minimize touching your skin and if you do, make sure your hands are always clean.
-
Your skin has been deep cleansed, stimulate and nourished during your facial so it’s important not to stimulate the skin further to avoid irritation.
-
Skin is exfoliated during the facial, and over-exfoliating can lead to inflammation, irritation, and irreversible damage. Other harsh products, like retinols, at-home peels, and salicylic acid-based cleansers or toners should also be avoided for a few days, as they turn that radiant glow into red, irritated skin.
-
It is advised that you follow Post-Treatment Skincare routine such as a Gentle Foaming Wash, Toner for pH balance, Hydration with Hyaluronic Acid, Moisturing SPF 35+ and Weekly exfoliation
-
Avoid picking, squeezing or touching the area
-
Avoid the temptation to apply make-up for 6-12 hours where possible
-
Avoid any other exfoliating skincare products for 48 hours after treatment
-
Do not have any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours
-
Avoid sunbathing or sunbeds for 48 hours after treatment
-
Avoid swimming, saunas, steam and hot showers for 48 hours after treatment. Have lukewarm showers where possible
-
If any redness or irritation occurs, apply a damp cotton wool compress to the area.
If symptoms persist, please contact us.
-
Always remove all traces of make-up at the end of the day
-
Always cleanse, tone and moisturise your face to prevent moisture loss, keep the skin soft and supple as well as to protect the skin from make-up
-
Use the correct products for your skin type
-
Avoid washing your face with soap and water as it dehydrates the skin
-
Use products that contain SPF30-50
-
Drink plenty of water
-
Eat a healthy, balanced diet with at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables each day
-
Avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol
-
Avoid smoking
